If you follow Road to Dram regularly or semi-regularly, you’ll have noticed the lack of posts over the past month. I appreciate those who reached out to check on me; all is well, at least when you ignore the crazy international climate. It’s only that everything got a bit much. This is a one-man project done in my spare time, and after a very busy and energy-draining December, I started the year with good intentions but completely flat batteries. An unexpected and urgent professional endeavour which couldn’t wait only added more to the demands on my energy. So I decided to switch off: this blog, social media, the Discord servers I usually frequent and more.
The good thing about recharging batteries (when it works) is that after a while, you’re ready to go again. So here I am, ready to get Road to Dram back on track. Perhaps I’ll repeat this in the future – a bit of a break is good for inspiration. But for now, thank you for your patience, and I look forward to sharing new reviews and articles with you. And since I left things hanging, the first posts you will see coming are the ones I planned to complete my series on Independent Bottlers.
