With so many new distilleries releasing their products on the market, it is time to dedicate my next reviews to the New Malts on the Block, starting today with my review of the Clydeside Distillery Napier, a 6 year old Lowlands single malt fully aged in Oloroso Sherry Casks
Continuing my series on Blended Malts, today I look at another of Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts. It’s time to review the Scallywag 10-year-old. This Speyside blend, aged exclusively in Oloroso and PX Sherry casks, is inspired by the Laing family’s Fox Terriers, as the not-so-subtle hints on the label give away.
After a couple of days break it’s time to dive back into funk. In my next three reviews, I will sample the entry-level original bottlings of Campbeltown’s famous distilleries. We start with today’s review of the Glen Scotia Double Cask.
